The women’s basketball team is headed to the Elite Eight after defeating Montana State-Billings to capture the NCAA West Region title.
The Broncos beat the Yellowjackets, 75-68, on Monday night at Kellogg Gym. Jada Blackwell was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, and Ariel Marsh and Ashley Lovett joined her on the All-Tournament Team.
The women’s team is now three wins away from securing their sixth national title in school history.
The team will fly to Erie, Pa., for a March 25 game against Atlantic Region champion Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. The game will begin at 3 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time, at Erie Insurance Arena.
